Hull / Wright Family Section

Located in long the western end of the cemetery in the Phillips Section is Hull / Wright family plots. The plot combines the family of Martha Ellen Monnett Wright and her family along with that of Mary Jane Monnett Hull and her husband Jasper Hull. The plot is unfinished; the layout of the graves indicates that a central monument was to be erected, however none was executed. Headstones are placed opposed to one and other -- that is to say that they were placed at the head of the grave, but faced towards the outside border, again indicating that a centralized monument was intended for this space. Mary Jane's headstone indicates her maiden name, however it uses the "Monnette" spelling instead of the traditional "Monnett". |
