"MONNETT – Mrs. Catherine Monett (sic), wife of A. Monett (sic), Esq., died at his residence in the northern part of Marion County, on the 7th last, in the 61st year of her age. She was the mother of a large family of children, all of whom we believe are living, she being the first of the family that death has laid its hand upon."

"Mrs. Abram Monnett died on February 8th, 1875 at 10 o'clock A.M. at her husband's residence in Marion county, aged 61 years.
"The Funeral took place on Wednesday, at 10 A.M. at the Monnett (M.E.) Chapel."
