Funeral for Mrs. Catherine Ross To Be Held Monday

Funeral Services for Mrs. Catherine (Monnette) Ross, 83, who died at the Middletown Rest home early Friday morning will be held at the Wise Funeral home Monday after at 3:30 o’clock.  Burial will be made at Oakwood cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.  Rev J.W. Dowds will officiate.

Mrs.Ross was born in Marion on January 8, 1858 and the youngest of twelve children of Abram and Catherine Braucher Monnette.  On October 17, 1877 she was united in marriage to Linus H. Ross of Bucyrus who preceded her in death.  Two daughters, Nella Lucille, wife of Dr. Maynard Owen of New York City and Grace Armina, wife of the Rev. James D. Miller of Middletown.  Five grandchildren are surviving.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bucyrus and vicinity all of her married life.
