Mervin Monnette's California Moorish Hacienda

  After striking gold in Nevada, Mervin Monnette acquired this home in the 1000 block of Western Avenue in Los Angeles California.  The house defies an easy description, it is a mixture of Victorian, Spanish and Moorish influences, combined in what could be classified as an exuberant exercise.  According to sources in California, the house no longer stands.
